As far back as I can remember I have loved the guitar. I started taking lessons in 1997 at age eleven. I really enjoyed them and practiced very hard. At age fifteen I became interested in guitarmaking. I found that there were luthiers out there making their living by building custom guitars. I was amazed and excited by this, so about a year later I had made up my mind to try and build one. I began collecting all the tools and doing tons of research. It took me nearly a full year to build my first guitar. At that time I didn't have a shop, so my bedroom was my "shop". I made many mistakes and experienced a lot of frustration. But overall, I enjoyed doing it and was proud of the finished guitar. At this point I decided to convert our two-story storage building into my shop. My guitars are improving with each one that I make. The positive feedback that I have received from the people who have bought my guitars is very important. It means a lot to me to know that my customers love their guitar.
